Here’s how the rating of projects listed on ICO Patrol is made.

General information

There are four types of rates on the website:

  • Rates made by ICO Patrol
  • Rates made by Investment funds
  • Rates made by Experts
  • Rates made by registered users

And there are also three categories of users who are provided with the opportunity to rate projects:

  • Registered users
  • Registered users with expert status
  • Investment funds representatives

Rates by ICO Patrol are made by our system according to the determined criteria.

Parameters of the rate

Each question that is used to evaluate a particular project can get from 0 to 5 points when the project is evaluated. The project can get the maximum points (125) when evaluated by Experts and Funds. Registered users with no additional status can evaluate the project with 50 points maximum. These rates are then converted into the five-point grading scale.

For users

Registered users should take into account the following aspects before making their evaluation:

  • Team
  • Technology
  • The idea of the project and the problem that it solves

When making the evaluation, the users should have answers to the following questions:

Team

  • Is the information about the project team available?
  • How well-known and competent the project's advisers are?
  • Is the activity of the project high in social media and on thematic web-resources?
  • Is there any information about the partners of this project?

Technology

  • Is White Paper Informative? Does it reveal the essence of the project?
  • Is there a Roadmap for the project? How feasible are the goals and timelines specified in the Road Map?
  • Is there information about the tokens distribution?

The idea of the project and the problem that it solves

  • Does the project have an MVP/product at the initial stage of readiness?
  • Is the idea of the project and the problem that it solves understandable?
  • How relevant and necessary is the technology of blocking in this project?

For Experts and Funds

It is assumed that the project will be examined in detail when the evaluation is made by Experts and representatives of Investment funds. The following aspects should be taken into account:

  • PR, Marketing and Community
  • Whitepaper
  • Technology
  • Token
  • The idea of the project and the problem that it solves
  • Market

Team

  • Is the information about the project team available?
  • How professional is the team?
  • Did team members participate in the development of projects earlier?
  • Do team members have open accounts on social networks?
  • How well-known and competent the project's advisers are?
  • Is there any information about the partners of this project?

PR, Marketing and Community

  • Is the activity of the project high in social media and on thematic web-resources?
  • Are there any project topics on https://bitcointalk.org/?
  • Your assessment of the coverage of the project in the media?
  • Are there any references to the project on behalf of authoritative bloggers and opinion leaders?

Whitepaper

  • Is White Paper Informative? Does it reveal the essence of the project?
  • How well and competently made White Paper?

Technology

  • Are there clear fund-raising objectives (soft cap \ hard cap)
  • Does the project have Escrow?
  • Is there a return of funds to investors in case of failure to achieve Soft Cap?
  • Have all contracts been uploaded to GithHub?

Token

  • Is there information about the emission of the token?
  • Is there information about the tokens distribution?

Market

  • Assess the competitiveness of the project on the market
  • Is the company legally registered?

The weight of the rate

Given that different types of users have different knowledge, skills, experience, etc. we designed the following ratio of the importance of rates:

Rates made by Experts, Funds and ICO Patrol are equal.

Rates made by registered users have an impact on the total rating that amounts to approximately 10%.
